| Beschreibung | Dieses Institut leitet seit Herbst 1993 das laufende Romani-Projekt. "Das österreichische Romani-Projekt versteht sich als Beitrag zum Kultur- und Identitätserhalt durch Kodifizierung und Didaktisierung der sprachlichen Varianten der österreichischen Roma." Das Romani-Projekt beschäftigt sich mit der Kodifizierung des vom Sprachtod extrem bedrohten Burgenland-Romani. "Die Bibliographien, von denen die mehr als 12.000 Einträge umfassende bibliographic database - romane lila an vorderster Stelle zu nennen ist, sind quasi Nebenprodukte der laufenden Projektarbeiten. Weiters werden in enger Kooperation mit dem Phonogrammarchiv der ÖAW zweisprachige Bücher sowie CDs mit Dokumenten der Oralliteratur der Roma herausgegeben." |
